CFTC officers conducted inspections in Blantyre and Lilongwe on 17th and 18th February, 2022 and did not find any of the subject products stocked in the shops that were visited.

Although the subject products were not found during the inspections, the Commission would like to inform traders that they need to be cautious and not sell the subject products to consumers.

The Commission is also advising consumers to take necessary precaution when purchasing Kit Kat products by ensuring that they do not purchase or consume the Kit Kat products listed above. Furthermore, the Commission advises consumers to return any such products to their suppliers, and get a full refund if they purchased the same. The Commission also calls upon the general public to report to the Commission if they come across these products being supplied on the market.
