Ms. Brenda Bota is an experienced trade & business development strategist with over 20 years’ experience providing strategic leadership in customer experience, marketing of FMCG, business development and operations management from diverse positions held in multinationals, commercial and government institutions.
Ms. Bota previously worked as Head of Market Operations at Airtel Malawi, prior to that she worked as Business Development & Marketing Manager for Malawi Savings Bank. She also worked for Carlsberg Malawi as Export Manager before being promoted to Senior Brands Manager responsible for non-alcoholic brands. She has work experience on taxation, customs & trade facilitation having worked with Malawi Revenue Authority. Ms. Bota also has proven research and analytical skills from her experience while working for the Malawi National Assembly in the Research Department.
Her major focus on the consumer and customer interface has been creating mutual benefits between consumers and the firms through providing solutions to consumer challenges and complaints while also driving the firms’ business agenda.
Ms. Bota holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from ESAMI and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Economics) from Chancellor College of the University of Malawi.
