On 13th January 2022, CFTC received an application for authorization of a proposed acquisition of Stock and Rolling Assets from LONAGRO Malawi by TATA Zambia Ltd. According to the information submitted by the parties, the proposed transaction involves TATA Zambia Limited acquiring control over a John Deere business from LonAgro Malawi Limited, which operates under Lonrho Africa Limited and is actively involved in the supply of agriculture and construction equipment. Following deliberations, the Commission authorized the merger.
