The Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) held a meeting in Lilongwe on 12th December, 2022, to consider and adjudicate over cases.
The Commission considered and adjudicated over a total of 57 cases, which included 51 cases of unfair trading practices and 6 cases of anti-competitive business practices.
During the sitting, the Commission ordered three companies to pay fines totaling K1.5 million for committing different offences. The Commission also ordered one company to make a refund of K1.975 million to a consumer.
